Questions grocers and corner shops ask
- Does it work for cash sales?
- That is most of what it does. Say “sale 340 cash” and the entry is posted to cash and to sales, balanced, before you serve the next customer.
- What about customers who pay later?
- Name them. The balance is tracked per customer, and asking “who owes me” gives you the list.
- Do I need to close the shop to do the books?
- No. Every entry happens as it happens, so there is nothing left to reconcile at closing.
