Refund Policy
The short version: you try it before you pay, and if paying turns out to have been a mistake, we give the money back. Nobody has ever been talked into keeping bookkeeping software they were not using.
You try before you pay
Every account starts with a three-day trial — seven voice notes and seven documents, no card, nothing to cancel. By the time you are asked for money you have already seen what it does. That is the main reason this policy is short.
Your first subscription: fourteen days
If you subscribe and it is not right, tell us within fourteen days of the first charge and we will refund it in full. You do not need a reason, and we will not ask you to sit through one.
Your books stay yours either way. Export everything as a PDF before you go, and ask us to delete the account whenever you want.
A renewal you did not expect
Subscriptions renew automatically, and you can cancel at any time — a cancellation stops the next charge and you keep the plan until the period you have paid for runs out.
If a renewal catches you out on an account you had stopped using, tell us within seven days of the charge and we will refund that period. This happens to everyone at some point and it is not worth anybody's afternoon.
What we do not refund
Periods you used. If you subscribed, kept your books here for four months and then left, the four months are not refundable — the service was delivered and you have the records to show for it.
We may also decline a refund where an account has been used in a way the Terms do not allow. That is rare and we will explain it if it happens.
How to ask
Email support@ledgerchat.app from the address you paid with, or reply to the receipt you were sent. Tell us the email and roughly when you were charged; that is enough to find it.
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, through Paddle, who process payments for us. Paddle usually completes a refund within a few business days, though your bank may take a little longer to show it.
Your legal rights
Nothing here removes rights you have under the law where you live — including any statutory right to cancel a purchase — and where the law gives you more than this policy does, the law wins.
Who you are buying from
LedgerChat is a product of AZapps. Payments are processed by Paddle as the merchant of record, which is why your card statement and your receipt both show Paddle alongside our name.
