Not a chatbot bolted onto a spreadsheet. A double-entry ledger that you talk to, and that answers with the books.
What this is not
Most "WhatsApp accounting" is a notification channel for software that lives somewhere else — alerts pushed into a chat you have to leave to do anything. This is the opposite: the chat is where the work happens, and there is nowhere else to go.

Do not switch if
- You want your bank feeding transactions in automatically. LedgerChat has no bank connection and is not going to guess.
- You run payroll. It does not do payroll and does not pretend to.
- You file your own VAT or tax returns from your software. LedgerChat keeps the records; something else does the filing.
- Your accountant works inside your books with you. They will get a complete PDF export, which is not the same thing.
It is worth a try if
- WhatsApp is where your business already happens — customers, suppliers, orders, all of it.
- You want the record made at the moment of the sale, not at the end of the week.
- You would rather speak than type, and rather type than open anything.
- You want books an accountant can actually use, not a list of notes.
Questions
- Is my data safe in a chat?
- Your books live in a database, not in the chat. WhatsApp is how you talk to them. Every query runs inside your own tenant, enforced by the database itself rather than by application code.
- What if my WhatsApp account is lost?
- You can set a recovery email, and export everything as a PDF at any time. Access to a phone number should not be the only thing standing between you and your records.
- Does it work for personal spending as well as a business?
- Both, and separately. Two books in one chat, with a line on every reply telling you which one you are in.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. If you have WhatsApp, you have everything.
